Questions

Utility hazmatFAQ

Do you work directly for utilities or as a subcontractor?

Mostly as a subcontractor to engineering and construction primes on utility work. Alliance has performed hazardous-materials subcontracts for Jacobs on PG&E projects, including Topock and Merced, plus PG&E work in Bakersfield.

What hazmat work comes up on utility projects?

Asbestos in older pipe coatings, vaults and structures; lead paint on towers and equipment; contaminated soil around facilities; tank cleaning and underground storage tanks; and demolition of older structures that need hazmat surveys and abatement first.

Can you support a prime's bid?

Yes. We provide past-performance references, licensing documents and pricing support to primes pursuing utility work.

Do you handle documentation and safety requirements?

Yes. Crews carry OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, confined space entry and DOT hazmat transport credentials, and the paperwork is built for prime and utility safety review.

Where do you work?

Based in Chico, Alliance works throughout California.
